Q Do I need a GP referral for physiotherapy treatment?
No, however if you have insurance then we do recommend that you contact your private health insurance company as they may require a medical referral (by a GP or Consultant) to authorise reimbursement of treatment charges.
Q Is the cost of physiotherapy covered by medical insurance?
Yes, As Chartered Physiotherapists and Members of the Health Professions Council we are recognised by all major and known Health Insurance Companies.
Q Is physiotherapy appropriate for back and neck problems or is it only useful for muscle injuries?
Chartered Physiotherapists are qualified to treat all spinal problems and in fact over 45% of our normal caseload is spinal work.
Q Can physiotherapists manipulate?
Yes, Chartered Physiotherapists with the appropriate post-graduate training are qualified to manipulate.
Q How quickly will I be seen for my first treatment?
We will always endeavor to offer you an appointment within 24 hours.
Q How long does each treatment last?
Initial appointments last upto 45 minutes and all subsequent appointments are upto 30 minutes in duration.
Q Should I bring anything with me?
If covered by insurance you should bring your details with you on your first appointment.
Q How many treatments will I need?
There is no pre-determined number of treatments. The physiotherapists will discuss your treatment program with you. Our average number of treatments per patient over the last 600 patients was 3.7.
